Create registry entry having $ in its name
I am trying to create a registry entry with name $MyReg$ and set its value to 1. But when I install the setup, it create the registry with empty name and value to 1. I guess this happens because IA thinks that I am trying to use IA variable MyReg as it is mentioned inside $ symbol. I have tried following as well:
\$MyReg\$
"$""MyReg""$"
But nothing worked.
How can I put $ in my registry name in IA2008?
\$MyReg\$
"$""MyReg""$"
But nothing worked.

Use $DOLLAR$ whereas you would like to have the $ symbol appear. Thus IA will replace the builtin variable $DOLLAR$ with its value, which is $.
