Host Name prefixed with RISC-decom

We have scanned a machine and it is registered in CMM.
Upon a next scan, with the "Refresh Inventory Box" enabled (View Changes), the device was not found so CMM updated the host name with the prefix "RISC-decom".

Does the device get automatically updated to the original host name or do we need to enable the Refresh Inventory Box so it reverts back when detected?

(1) Solution

For any asset previously discovered and then not seen on a subsequent scan, the asset will be prefixed with RISCdecom.  To remove the prefix to the host name, you have to first verify that the asset can be seen and scanned by the RN150.  Once verified, you need to re-runt he scan with the Refresh Inventory enabled by checking the box  View Changes.  Opting in to this feature will identify decommissioned devices and update asset inventory information.  This option will add time to the scanning process.

Could the device have been decommisioned between the two scans? But yes, I would expect it to show up again with its correct name if it's active during a subsequent scan.

You may also want to contact Flexera Support if you need assistance investigating it further.

Thanks,
