Burst Licenses Activation

Hello Community,

We have purchased a pack of burst licenses recently, It has a start and end date (attached picture).

Still the discovery process haven't started yet for all the in scope servers that need to be data collected, and it also will not be finished before the end date of the burst license pack (5th of May).

The question is :

Are we obliged to initiate to use this burst license pack before it's end date, and we will be needing to buy another pack if we plan to start data collection by end of May.

Or this license end date is not related to its activation and we still can initiate this license pack anytime during the assessment period (which is usually 1 year - started on 4th of April).

Subscriptions (typically) are active for 1 year.  The above details appear to be in error.  Please open a support case to have this issue resolved.

 

You can confirm your assessment end date on the License Page (go to Collect Data/ Licensing menu)  of the portal and locate the End Date under License Summary.

 

If the end date listed is May 5th 2022 your assessment will no longer be accessible on that date.  As stated above please open a support case so the correct end date can be confirmed and your subscription updated to prevent access interruption to your assessment.

Hi,

You may start the Burst anytime during the assessment period. It is recommended to have all of the in scope devices properly discovered before opening the Burst. Please note, once the Burst is opened, there is no feature to pause/stop the 30 day count down timer.

But what then Start and End dates mean for the purchased licenses:

- Foundation Burst Cloud Service Provider Named Customer Per Server Silver Subscription.

Starts: Apr 06, 2022 - Ends: May 05, 2022

- Foundation CloudScape Burst Cloud Service Provider Named Customer Per Server Silver Subscription.

Starts: Apr 06, 2022 - Ends: May 05, 2022

- Foundation FlexDeploy VM Cloud Service Provider Named Customer Silver Subscription.

Starts: Apr 06, 2022 - Ends: May 05, 2022
