Core and Processor count on virtual environment

Anyone else experience issues when analysing Windows Server licensing consumption as the Virtual core count and processor count are inconsistent even though the processor type is the same for multiple VMs? fair enough some will say where the inventory source isn't a Flexera agent may be an issue, but any other logical explanations?

@KGrieve - Can you please provide a bit more context on this because:

1 - Windows Server licensing is based on the physical cores of the VM Host, not on the virtual machine cores

2 - When you create virtual machines under a physical host, each virtual machine can be created and assigned to different numbers of virtual processors/cores.  In other words, when looking at the VMs under a host, it is normal to see different virtual CPU counts.
