Customize the vendor daemon restart tries by lmadmin
This article is created for the purpose to help with customizing the vendor daemon retry attempts made by lmadmin post error observation.
Starting FNP-11.13.0, an attribute "restartRetries" was introduced in server.xml file (for lmadmin), which controls the count for which lmadmin will attempt a restart for vendor daemon.
For command line attribute Mode installation:
FlexNet_Publisher_License_Server_11_13_0_0.exe -DRESTART_RETRIES=3 -i silent
./lmadmin-i86_lsb-11_13_0_0.bin -DRESTART_RETRIES=5 i silent
In case if license server is already running:
Navigate to the lmadmin "Admin console" and impost the license file.
Post that under "Vendor daemon Configuration Tab", click on the "vendor daemon" name - which should expand the property and details page for particular vendor daemon.
Now, down in the same page, modify the "Restart Retries" count as per your which and ensure to select the option below that i.e. preserving the count post lmadmin restart".
Now, once the daemon is restarted (post a error/manually), the server.xml page will be updated with new restart retry count and will be in affect.
