Can a composite transaction delete and add a fulfillment record at the same time?

Can a composite transaction delete and add a fulfillment record at the same time?

Summary

When using composite transactions, if a user already has an activation ID on the PC, and then requests an activation with a new activation ID, can the response XML from the FNO server contain both a create and delete action to delete the old activation ID and create a fulfillment for the new activation ID?

Question

When using composite transactions, if a user already has an activation ID on the PC, and then requests an activation with a new activation ID, can the response XML from the FNO server contain both a create and delete action to delete the old activation ID and create a fulfillment for the new activation ID?

Answer

Yes it can ? the down side of delete/create is that any deduction records would be lost (server TS). Note however that deleting a record that does not exist is also an error so a blanket policy of including a delete before every create does not work.

Additional Information

The W7_EZCalcSvrUpgrade1.xml example in the kit has delete and create actions. One fulfillment record is replaced by another to perform the upgrade. In this case you?d need to make the fulfillment ids the same.
