QUESTION: Ways of getting the host name vendor daemon is on
Hi,
Would it be possible for us to get the hostname of the vendor daemon as part of the checkout attributes, using the APIs? This would help us distinguish where the checkouts are directed to, in the situation where there are 2 license server (lmgrd) hosts running in a site, with the same features and the same vendor daemons.
We feel that since we are already getting the checkout/checkin information from the vendor daemons, it should be little effort for the vendor daemon to give us the hostname where it is running on as well. Note that this information is also displayed in the output of lmstat:
...
Vendor daemon status (on jcheng):
^^^^^--- vendor daemon host
plattst1: UP v10.8
plattst2: UP v10.8
plattst3: UP v10.8
...
Thanks,
-Johnson

As I understand from Lars, in the next version you receive, you will be passed the vendor daemon hostname.
Lars, what will the accessor function be named?
