Here are the highlights and key dates for the upcoming Software Monetization 2022.02 release:

FlexNet Operations Cloud 2022.02 ALM

  • FlexNet Operations Cloud 2022.02 ALM in UAT (January 27th – outage required)
  • FlexNet Operations Cloud 2022.02 ALM in Production (February 12th – outage required)

The FlexNet Operations Cloud 2022.02 ALM release includes the following new features and enhancements:

Software Delivery

A new SOAP web service allows producers to build their own customer portals using download package information for file delivery.

The Geographical Restrictions capability is generally available. This capability enables producers to define which countries or regions can access download packages and files.

NOTE: Software Delivery is a separate paid module. Contact your Revenera Account Manager for details.

Data Access APIs

This release expands availability of the Data Access REST APIs to the FlexNet Operations Cloud ALM deployed on AWS EMEA environments. Producers with FlexNet Operations Cloud instances on AWS EMEA can now tap into the FlexNet Operations Data Warehouse for account, user, entitlement, fulfillment, device, and served device data to build their own reports.

FlexNet Operations Cloud 2022.02 LLM

  • FlexNet Operations Cloud 2022.02 LLM in UAT (January 27th – outage required)
  • FlexNet Operations Cloud 2022.02 LLM in Production (February 12th – outage required)

The FlexNet Operations Cloud 2022.02 LLM release includes customer-specific changes and issue fixes. There are no release notes for this release.

FlexNet Embedded 2022.02

  • Cloud Licensing Service 2022.02 in UAT (January 27th – outage required)
  • Cloud Licensing Service 2022.02 in Production (February 12th – outage required)
  • FlexNet Embedded Local License Server GA (February 12th)
  • FlexNet Embedded Client Kits GA (February 24th)

The FlexNet Embedded 2022.02 release updates the FlexNet Embedded Local License Server logging framework from Log4J to Logback 1.2.9. This change was made to address recent Log4J vulnerabilities.

The FlexNet Embedded 2022.02 release expands platform support to include:
FlexNet Embedded Client Kits:

  • Windows Server 2022
  • Windows 11
  • macOS 12

FlexNet Embedded Local License Server:

  • Windows 11

This release also includes several customer-specific fixes to the local license server and client kits.
