FlexNet Operations Cloud 2021.01 ALM

  • FlexNet Operations Cloud 2021.01 ALM is available on UAT (released December 17th)
  • FlexNet Operations Cloud 2021.01 ALM production is scheduled for either January 12th (without outage) or January 16th (if outage is required)

This release includes the following enhancements:

Updates and Insights

This release expands support of the Updates and Insights functionality to served devices. This means served devices are now capable of requesting updates from and logging their status or events to the notification server. Producers can then leverage the REST APIs to read the status log and device events for better insight about these devices.

Note: Updates and Insight is a separate, paid module.

FlexNet Operations Cloud 2021.01 LLM

  • FlexNet Operations Cloud 2021.01 LLM is available on UAT (released December 17th)

This release includes the following enhancements:

Electronic Software Delivery (ESD)

The Electronic Software Delivery (ESD) APIs enable producers to retrieve information about products and their downloadable files. This is particularly useful for producers who wish to implement a self-service portal for their end customers.

The Electronic Software Delivery (ESD) APIs returns the following information:

  • The list of products entitled to a specific account
  • The list of files for a specified product, that an account is entitled to. (A compliance check is carried out before the list of files is returned.)

FlexNet Embedded 2021.01

The FlexNet Embedded 2021.01 release addresses license count issues related to the client expiry.

Note: There are no client kit changes for the FlexNet Embedded 2021.01 release. However, a FlexNet Embedded Client 2020 R3 SP3 release was made available on December 14th and it resolves VM_UUID detection issues caused by changes made in Google Compute Cloud platforms.
