Reidentifying members in LLM for existing multiple Member IDs
Introduction
Reidentifying members results in the following error (LLM):
Cannot add Member ID <memberID> to Member with Email address <email> since this member already has a Member ID.
The issue is with the existing multiple Member IDs.
Solution
You must delete one or both member IDs before you can add/update the new ID.
Do the following:
- Open the Reidentify page, select one of the IDs in the dropdown, leave the new Member ID field blank and click Submit.
- You should now only have 1 Member ID. The normal reidentifying process should work as expected.
- If you still encounter issues, also delete the second old ID and then go back and add the new one.
Outcome
Only one Member ID is present for the member.
