Summary
This article covers the error that can be encounter during a one off upload and how to work around this.
Symptoms
After trying to get a bulk upload running with the one-off upload functionality I can't get any clue on the error message. I made use of the csv file provided as template and offered it as source for the upload.
The upload do fail with the error message:
Import failed. Error: An error has occurred when trying to run the query [select * from [source.csv]]. The error message is [In the text file specification 'source.csv', the Col1 option is invalid.].
Well, I can't make myself on the message in square brackets. What about Col1 option is invalid?
Resolution
To fix this download the original templates from the applicable version of your environment then copy and paste the data from the csv you provided. Then save the template as a csv and re-import it.
There must have been corruption in the original file.

Contact Flexera support team if the suggestion doesn't resolve the issue.
