Known Issue: Calculated consumption values may be non-0 when an inventory device has an exempted role and is also manually exempted from a license (IOJ-1929569)

Summary

The "Calculated consumption" for an inventory device may be reported as a non-0 value on a device-based license when an inventory device:

  1. Has a role that is selected in the "Exemptions by device role" on a license; and
  2. Is explicitly allocated to the license with an exemption reason

Details

In the scenario described above, the "Calculated consumption" should be 0 as the device is exempted from consuming because of its role - that is, based on the terms of the license.

This issue does not affect the actual "Consumption" figure reported for the device that is used for determining the overall license consumption: this figure is correctly shown as 0 in this scenario.

Fix status

This issue is still open but not currently scheduled to be addressed.
