How to update the database and beacon servers if the domain name of the application server changes?
Note - The server and the IP address of the application name is still the same

Answer

If the FQDN of the app server changes, we need to update these values;

Application server

  • Update the ComplianceSetting table SettingValue in the database for these SettingName EndpointBeaconServicesURL, EndpointDownloadLocationURL, EndpointUploadLocationURL,BatchSchedulerHostName
  • Restart IIS
  • Restart the Batch Processor service

Beacon

  • Update the Parent Connection settings in Beacon UI (using Manual configuration) and verify 'Test Connection'
  • Verify host name in registry for
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ManageSoft Corp\ManageSoft\Common\DownloadSettings\ReplicatorParent
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ManageSoft Corp\ManageSoft\Common\UploadSettings\ReplicatorParent
