Installation Context of FlexNet Agent Deployed via InTune
There has been a report of FNMS agent being deployed via InTune potentially resulting in a broken agent installation with auto repair prompts occurring post deployment.
When the agent .msi file is configured in InTune, the Install Behavior option is to install as User, but agent needs to be installed in System/per-machine context.
It is possible to work around this issue by creating a powershell script to launch the installer and specifying this script instead in InTune instead of the .msi file directly so that it can be executed as System from InTune.
Version Fix Target
An issue IOJ-2081669 has been submitted to enhance the agent installer to be able to support this InTune setting of installing as System directly.
