How can you see consumption for unassigned inventory
Synopsis
I found some applications where underneath "consumption" a lot of unassigned inventory is listed. There seems to be no way to find out easily what these unassigned are either assigned to and what are their names.
The result is a general one and not reflecting the unassigned of a particular installation. Again: Is there any way to get details of those unassigned inventory?
Discussion
On the "Group Assignment" tab of a license if there are any devices that have consumed the license but have not been assigned to a location these appear in an "Unassigned" node, is there any way to see a list of these devices?
Workaround
You can create a report that starts from installations, catches the allocated license name (because the license covering an installation is captured in Flexnet Manager Suite Compliance database as an installation linked object) goes up to servers, then catches the server's location, you will see all servers that are consuming a given license with no location.
