A directory list is showing in place of the Analytics/Cognos widgets and dashboard

If you are seeing a directory browsing view similar to the image below rather than the analytics dashboard and widgets homepage, your Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) settings have likely been changed to enable directory browsing view.

Disable directory browsing

To disable directory browsing:

  1. Open IIS, navigate to ibmcognos > bi directory, and open Directory Browsing.

  1. Disable directory browsing on each node in IIS for the virtual directory.
