Hi All, 

I am very new to this community and started using flexnet manager suite tool. Do anyone have work book on how to use this tool? what are all the prerequisites i need to look? What are all we can achieve with the help of this tool? Please advise.

Thanks for sharing. We have procured flexnet manager suite cloud. We have started to uploading our procurement and application details and license details. Now, I am struck, how to make us of this tool effectively

In the menu at the top of this community is a link to our Learning Center in there are 2 major resources that would be worth working through:

1. 1. Flexera Practice Guides
2. 2. Flexnet Manager online training videos.

The practice guides are the closest you'll find to a guide on using FNMS and I'd start with the Software License Optimization guide and then move to vendor specific items afterwards.

The videos are training modules and are definitely worth working through to help you learn how to use FNMS effectively.

There is also our Helpnet site which has all of our documentation and the online help although are written more as reference / look up material as opposed to usage guides, so you'll probably find these more useful once you've done some of the training courses above.

@mrichardson  is right, the best places to start are in the Community Learning Center:

• "Getting Started with Software License Optimization in FlexNet Manager"
  • This contains links to the SLO Practice Guide as well as other helpful videos to get you started
• "FlexNet Manager Implementation and Administration" is the best resource for initial configuration of the system
• Then once the system is up and running, the following learning paths are helpful based on what stage of your program you are in. Our recommendation is to NOT try and view all of these, but focus only on those relevant to your current efforts.
  • "Discovery, Inventory & Application Normalization"
  • "Hardware Asset Management"
  • "License Creation & Optimization"
  • "Reporting & Governance"
