SCCM integration best practices

I am looking for any best practices for integrating Flexnet with SCCM for workstations.

The team does not want to deploy yet another agent to a large number of workstations so leveraging SCCM is the preference.

Does anyone have any best practices for inventory on SCCM  side to enable better Flexnet results? For example, should we be asking the SCCM team to collect sw id files as  part of inventory to assist with FNMS recognition? Is there a minimum set of Asset Intelligence options to be enabled? Any gotchas with SW usage?

Are there are best practices for data maintenance for the SCCM import data? Should the FNMS team be looking for specific data not cleaned up   by the importer by default? I read issues with user data overlapping.  Do customers dedicate a beacon to pulling the SCCM data? Do customers have any feedback on the impact of 25k sccm targets on an existing FNMS environment?

Are there any best practice reports the team should add post integration to manage issues or drive more value from the data?

I have yet to look at the latest release notes for 2019 R2, but are there observed issues worth noting with Flexera before turning on the integration?

Much appreciated.

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no best practice guide specifically for SCCM connections. Some of the swid files are used for recognition in the library, so if that can be collected, it will help. Asset Intelligence installed with Logon Auditing enabled is required to track users who are logging on to computers. This will be needed for user licenses.

The KB below will help if usage is not being imported. It has some common issues listed as well.

SCCM data imported should merge with existing records if there are any. Some of the matching criteria are SamAccountNames, domains, and device serial numbers.

You can find some known issue in the link below:
