Right of multiple use is not behaving correctly

Hello Everyone,

I am having an issue with Tableau license, which is a user based license and we have configured right of multiple use which enables a user to use unlimited installation on different devices. There are no of instances where same application with different version is installed on the same device but consuming a license for every install and ideally it should not, with right of multiple use we also get backward compatibility right?

If yes how can we fix this?

If any other recommendation please suggest.

Thanks

Amit

Hi,

It would help if you could post the details (perhaps screenshots) of your license settings and the consumption you find to be wrong.

Best regards,

Markward

@animesh1989

Please be aware of the different FNMS behavior between device- and user-based licenses outlined in Right of Multiple Use i.e. I think this may explain your findings.

Thanks,
