Question of the 'Acrobat DC 2015' in installed application (FNMS 2019 R2)

Hello experts,

We imported laptop inventories from SCCM database. And we would like to find the number of devices that have Acrobat DC 2015 installed for each edition (Pro or Standard).

In FNMS installed application page it only shows we have over 5000 Acrobat DC (2015) Classic installed. The Acrobat DC 2015 has edition value(Professional or Standard) in SCCM. Anyone know why both of them are regarded as 'Acrobat DC 2015 Classic' after imported to FNMS.

@HPNZNB - This is because of the way that Adobe Acrobat DC is installed.  Whether Acrobat DC Standard edition is installed, or Acrobat DC Professional Edition is installed, the exact same Add/Remove Entry and SWID Tag and EXE files are created.  The only place that Adobe indicates the edition is INSIDE of the software id tag.

SCCM has no ability to capture the contents of a software id tag, and therefore the data that SCCM captures does not have enough data for FlexNet Manager (or any other SAM Tool) to determine what edition of Acrobat DC is installed.

This is one of the differentiators of the FlexNet Manager Agent.  When scanning a device, it finds the Acrobat DC software id tag, opens it up, and captures the "edition" information.  Therefore, if you choose to use the FlexNet Manager Agent, you will accurately see in the normalized data what edition of Acrobat DC is installed.
