Hi @durgeshsing ,
1) Can you check if there is any other process running on the system other than flexera process.
2) check if there are multiple ndtrack process running. If yes, Kill the process and re-trigger the ndtrack.
You can try updating the config file with low profile to true and trigger the ndtrack and check if it completes.

I did some searching for any known issues with symptoms like this, but couldn't find anything. This may be something that hasn't been investigated previously.
Have you worked out whether the ndtrack process is crashing, or whether it is hanging? i.e. Does the ndtrack process still exist after the last line of logging that is appearing, or has the process gone away?
Here are some thoughts on troubleshooting steps you might consider to try to get more of a handle on what is going on here:
- Run ndtrack with the Inventory diagnostic trace class enabled in the etcp.trace file. For example, commands like the following will enable the tracing settings, run ndtrack to produce tracing in the file /tmp/tracker-trace.log, and then restore previous trace configuration:
cp /opt/managesoft/etcp.trace /opt/managesoft/etcp.trace.orig sed -e 's/#+\(Inventory\)$/+\1/g' -e 's/filename=.*/filename=\/tmp\/tracker-trace.log/g' /opt/managesoft/etcp.trace.orig >/opt/managesoft/etcp.trace /opt/managesoft/libexec/ndtrack -t machine cp /opt/managesoft/etcp.trace.orig /opt/managesoft/etcp.trace
- Try [temporarily] commenting out (by adding a "#" at the start of the line) either or both of the following provider=... settings in the /var/opt/managesoft/etc/config.ini file to see if inventory gathering will proceed further:
[ManageSoft\Tracker\CurrentVersion\HP-UX\Hardware\MGS_BIOS] provider=HPUXBIOS [ManageSoft\Tracker\CurrentVersion\HP-UX\Hardware\MGS_DiskDrive] provider=HPUXDiskDrive
Commenting out these lines will stop the ndtrack process from gathering data related to the BIOS and disk drives, which is what will be happening around the final lines of the logging you are seeing.

Hi Chris ,
I have similar issue with ndtrack, it just gets hangs at the stage ExcludeEmbedFileContentDirectory and for days it remains on same step.
I tried to comment out this section /var/opt/managesoft/etc/config.ini and reran the cmd ndtrack -t machine ,however there is no luck .
Any other suggestions or thoughts ?

The logging you’re seeing now suggests that the process is getting a little further, but hanging at the "HPUXComputerSystem" step.
For troubleshooting, you could try also commenting out that setting in the config.ini file to see if it makes a difference. (You won’t necessarily get a complete set of inventory being gathered with these configuration changes, but at least it will help you narrow down what is and is not working.)
I may be barking up an entirely wrong tree here, but from looking at some internal details I can see that the inventory gathering logic related to both "HPUXBIOS" and "HPUXComputerSystem" steps share some code which calls the confstr(3C) system call to get partition identity information:
confstr(_CS_PARTITION_IDENT, …)
As a wild guess, another troubleshooting step to do may be to try executing a command line like the following on this computer to see if it successfully returns a value:
getconf CS_PARTITION_IDENT

I'd suggest working with whoever manages this server to see if they can work out what is causing the "getconf CS_PARTITION_IDENT" to hang. If that can be resolved, then I would be hopeful that it will also allow ndtrack to proceed with its work.
BTW - make sure you restore any changes to the /var/opt/managesoft/etc/config.ini file that were made to avoid leaving it in an unusual state.

@durgeshsing - I assume that you are running a version of HP-UX that is officially supported by Flexera?
