Installer Evidence

Flexnet has found Installer Evidence on a Unix server "oracle.dbjava.ic" for application "Enterprise Manager Agent 11.2".
As the software is out of support I asked the Engineer to remove the software. However he is unable to find the application installed on the server.
How do I find out where the evidence is detected from on a Unix server?

Output from  "ndtrack -t machine -o Upload=False" :

<Property Name="InstallLocation"
Value="/u02/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/dbhome_191015/oracle_dbjava_ic"/>

However the files "oracle_dbjava_ic" does not exist.

Where would it be getting this reference from?

This looks as if the computer has or had an Oracle database related product installed that has not been uninstalled cleanly. There is evidence from the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) that is being picked up and reported  as Installer Evidence by the Flexera Agent.

Oracle Inventory data are stored in an XML Inventory pointer file named 'oraInst.loc'. However, editing this file directly is not recommended.

The best practice is to launch OUI and use to make sure that all related Oracle software has been removed after "Enterprise Manager Agent 11.2" has been uninstalled.

Hi @GopalRaghvani

I would evaluate the NDI file of the corresponding device as a first clue. To do so, execute the following command, this will do the inventory, but not upload the NDI file. The NDI file is located in the following folder "/var/opt/managesoft/upload"

ndtrack -t machine -o Upload=False

 Open the NDI and search for your application and get more details about the detected evidence.

Best,

Dennis
