FNMEA Agent - For IP Address Question

We have 54 licenses servers deployed on physical servers with multiple NICs / LACP bundle and we are finding that at times the Agent stops communicating with the FNMEA server. We believe the issue is due to the FNMEA Agent starting up and getting improper network configuration. I believe there is a way to bind the FNMEA Agent to an IP address - can this be done only via the Silent Install Response File or can we do it via AgentConfiguration.bat?

Thanks!

Hello Afilla,

Do you have several network card in your agent machines? You are right you can change the configuration of the agent through the AgentConfiguration as pictured below

Best Regards,

Paul

Yes Paul, there are about 6 "NICs" on the machines. These are physical boxes. We have about 15 virtual license servers and never had this problem but there are about 6 NICs on the Physical boxes we are standing up now and by using the IP instead of FQDN we are up and running now!

Hi Afilla,

that's great news then. Just use IP moving forward to avoid complications.
