Admins are starting to use Red Hat Satellite within the datacenter environment. Installation on the server is detected by FNMS agents without issue. Participation by the servers (as "nodes") appears not to rely upon installation of an application or binary so far as we know.
When we ask the admins how we can measure participation, this is the answer we receive:
The following command will identify if a RH node has an active subscription with the Red Hat Satellite Server:
subscription-manager list | grep ^Status | grep "Subscribed"
The billing SKU under the Enterprise Agreement we should be using for licensing is MCT3027.
Can anyone advise whether FNMS agents will pick up on "Subscribed" status?
Thanks, David Mathias

David, the FNMS Agent is not aware of that "subscription" status for Red Hat Satellite.
Is there some type of Admin Console/Report for Red Hat Satellite that lists each server (node) that is being managed? If yes, you could export that list of servers and use a Business Adapter to "allocate" those servers to the License to create consumption.
