Hi Everyone, we have been attempting to sort out some of our Ignored Inventory devices and while looking into the History Tab of a couple of servers we noticed some odd entries in the list referencing the device status changing by what looks to be by the system. We do have a Business Adapter that changes the status for Retired servers but this is not what is causing this entry.
Is there some sort of scenario where the tool will pick something up and then automatically changes the status based upon its current setting. First example is from 2019 but we have seen other examples occurring in 2020 which I provided after the first one.
Example is below ... the entry on 7/17/2019 10:01:04 am is from our Business Adapter that changes the status because of Retired Servers and adds the Category as shown. But, the entries after that are the ones we are questioning what happened.
Thanks
Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Do these inventories have assets linked? Could it be that the status change was initiated by status change on the asset?
Best regards,
Markward

Hi Markward, for the first example there was no Asset created for this device at this time in 2019. The Asset got created in 2021.
1/25/2021 1:27:31 pmus\svc-flexeraCreated Asset : xxxxxxx
Thanks for looking at this .. its a weird one for sure ..

Both times, the change to "Ignored" happend around 10:00, both changes to "Active" around 10:30. Sounds like there are 2 imports flip-flopping.

Hi Markward, agreed ... something is going on for sure with possibly one of our other Business adapters. We play with Assets via an adapter and I was just reading up on those status's and their relationships. The other thing is that in both cases in the first example its 5 days out.
Thanks again, will be diving into these other adapters to see whats happening.
