Changing status on many devices at the same time

We have an issue in FNMS The CMDB has one status and FNMS has another status.

We need to change the status in FNMS for many devices CMDB status is End of Life and in FNMS it is still Active.
We will not get them into FNMS automatically since there is no longer inventory running on them (still we have sw on the inventory devices)

We have both inventory devices linked to assets (that we would like to change from Active to Retire)

We also have inventory devices that doesn't have any asset linked to it that we need to change to Ignored

What is the best way of doing this?

In this case, you would want to create a spreadsheet of those hardware assets from your CMDB, with something to match on within FlexNet (such as the serial number), and the Asset Status that you want to change these to - such as "Disposed".  You would then create a Business Adapter to read the spreadsheet, find the Hardware Asset by matching on serial number and changing the status of the asset to "Disposed".

You would do a similar process for the Inventory Devices not linked to an asset.  Match on the Computer Name and change the status to "Ignored".
