lmgrd version is 11.8.0.0, installed on Windows Server 2003. Firstly, the service was running without any parameter, and it was fine. Then I tried to run lmgrd.exe with [-x lmdown] in the Windows service in order to prevent users shutting down the services accidentally. Whatever what I try, the service will not start, and it alway gives me the same error message - Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
Have anyone else run into this situation? Is flexlm service able to start with parameters?
