BAS Oracle Java JDK/SDK

Hi community,

Does anyone know if Business Adapter Studio requires Oracle Java JDK/SDK? Pending on the DB you would like to get/put Data on?

And if yes, is Oracle Java JDK/SDK licenses covered by Flexera in terms of use with BAS?

Or is it safe to uninstall any related Oracle JDK/SDK components from the machine where BAS is running without effecting the functionality?

Hi Matthias,

Oracle Java should not be needed. I use the Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) when I

• need to inventory Oracle databases the legacy way, or
• need to access a Oracle database for business data or stuff.
