FlexNet Manager Platform / Suite – SKU, PURL & Bundle updates (Release #500)

The SKU, Product Use Rights Libraries (PURL) and Bundles libraries, used by FlexNet Manager Suite, have been updated. For on premise customers the SKU/PURL/Bundles libraries have been published and are now available. 

Customers of FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud will have this update applied by the Recognition Data Import task and be available on Monday, Feb 28th 2022 in your time zone. 

What's new in this release?

  • SKUs ‘FLX-O365-SPE_E3’ mapped to Office 365 E3 Bundle and ‘FLX-O365-SPE_E5’ is mapped to Office 365 E5 Bundle, SKU-ARL mapping is also done according to the bundle.

  • Updated ‘IBM MQ V9.0’ & ‘IBM MQ V9.1’ bundles by removing MQ standalone application and mapped "WebSphere MQ Server 9.0 (Active Queue Manager)" and "WebSphere MQ Queue Manager". Similar ARL mapping has been done to the mapped SKUs as well.

  • Nine bundles have been newly published

  9. Microsoft Visual Studio Enterprise with GitHub Enterprise

  • 42 IBM bundles have been refreshed wrt its applications and SKUs.

  • Over 91,000 SKUs from Altova publisher are now linked to its PURL templates.

  • 6617 licensed SKUs which were mapped to older versioned application. They are now mapped to the latest/highest versioned application available in ARL.

  • SAP PURL has been updated to remove duplicate values for 'Sales/Service Order Processing' rules where >= were appearing as corrupt characters. They have been replaced by strings like 'greater than or equals'.
  • The Microsoft Core Infrastructure Suite without Windows Server SKUs  have been re-mapped to System Center Suite and Endpoint configuration Manager Client to exclude Windows Server as a component.
  • 3483 new SKUs have been added. The following table provides an overview of the number of SKUs with respect to publisher:

  • Library information are as follows:
    1. Total number of SKUs in the library is 21,53,172 across 1088 publishers.
    2. Total number of PURL templates is 3,837 across 48 publishers.
    3. Total number of published Bundles is 4,494 across 21 publishers.

How can I verify that my SKU Library has been updated? 

You can inspect the changed data in the SKU Library with the SKU Library Update Report. If you do not already have a copy of this report installed, you can obtain the latest version of the report (and installation instructions) from Flexera Software knowledge base article M100955 available from the Flexera Software Knowledge Center at  https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Knowledge-Base/SKU-Library-Update-Report/ta-p/5900

The regular schedule for SKU/PURL updates 

We expect the next update to the PURL & SKU Library to be available on Friday, Mar 25th 2022.  The libraries are available as soon as published and are updated daily via the Recognition Data Import task,

or as otherwise reflected in your local configuration. Customers of FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud will have this update applied by Monday, Mar 28th 2022 in your time zone.

 

Downloading the SKU/PURL Libraries Manually 

The SKU/PURL library updates can be downloaded from the Flexera Product and Licensing Center (PLC 2.0).
