This KB article will help to explain the reason why it is not possible to set the borrowInterval setting on the Flexnet Embedded license server
Symptoms
Whilst using the flexnetlsadmin utility to edit the setting s of the license server for the borrowInterval setting, you may receive the following error:
Error updating : licensing.borrowInterval with value 2h The configuration setting, licensing.borrowInterval, is not editable by the enterprise role at the default scope.
Cause
This error occurs because the value borrowInterval is not a value that can be set by the end user. It is a setting that is set by the publisher of the license server.
Resolution
The software publisher should update the publisher-settings.xml that they use to build their license server.
