Why does this happen?
Coming from macrovision themself:
I get an update notification that IS 11 HotFix 3 is available. So I install it, two weeks ago approx. Today, I get another update notification that IS 11 HotFix 3 is available.
Why is UM not detecting that IS 11 HotFix 3 has already been installed and why am I getting continuous notifications about its availability? Is IS 4.5 not detecting what's already installed or is macrovision not using the update service properly themselves?
Honestly, why is this occuring? Is this a problem our end-users may be having as well? Is UM hard broke?

LOL, I've been using Admin Studio for 2 years now and I've never had one single notification for a hotfix or service pack. It has ALWAYS been spam for classes and other products.

One idea...
Check the Update Service Test utility to see what is installed.
Somehow, I once had two versions of a product installed on my machine. One would get updated, the other wouldn't. So even though I'd always update, the other would report that it's not updated and that it has a new update available.
