Disable Updates without using the manager
We have deployed an application with Installshield Update manager installed and enabled. Since our organization runs with very restricted privileges, all updates are tested and packaged and then sent out via SMS. The update manager fell through the cracks and is now installed on roughly 2700 machines of which I need to write a script to disable it, but hunting through the registry, google, and file monitoring have yielded no results. Does any one know if there is a way to disable updates?
Any help would be appreciated.
Steven

If you know the server the updates request from, perhaps you could block that server on a corporate-wide basis? Seems klugy but faster than modifying all the machines. You could capture the server by performing an IP trace and then starting an update request.
