We have a tech refresh programme within our company and IT services are outsourced to a third party.  The intent of refresh is to keep the IT estate current.  Working with our IT supplier we want to be able predict when the next version (and the one beyond that (If possible) will be GA so that we can then define a date that each version is available for consumption to host applications etc.  Our supplier has to create gold images and align to CIS level one compliance.  the idea of predicting the date is that they can plan projects etc to undertake the work and we avoid having software on our estate that is in extended support/EOL.

Without the predictive dates we are finding that our third party doesn't have time to do the required work etc, before we want to consume the product.

Any thoughts comments much appreciated

Please raise this idea through our Ideas portal.

Please make sure to be clear on your expectations here as well, and especially whether you're expecting Flexera to provide predictions about when new releases can be expected based on historical data, and whether this is expected on a per software manufacturer; or whether you're expecting software manufacturers to release such information that Flexera then incorporates into Technopedia.

Thanks,
