Update: Notification of new sub-processor

In order to continue to deliver the excellent service that you have grown to expect from Flexera and as part of the ongoing integration of Snow Software within the Flexera family, we will be engaging and/or adopting the use of the sub-processors set out in this notice.  

 1. Microsoft Corporation 

Flexera will utilize Microsoft’s Power BI solution in order to deliver advanced business analytics and intelligence to users of Flexera products and services. Microsoft Power BI was selected by Flexera to support our customers experience engaging with Flexera's normalized and enriched datasets at scale with a customizable reporting engine our customers are familiar with. 

 1.1 About Microsoft PowerBI 

Microsoft Power BI is a business analytics service that enables users to visualize and share insights from their data. Microsoft Power BI is widely used by data analysts, business intelligence professionals, and anyone who needs to make data-driven decisions in an organization. 

1.2 Microsoft’s commitment to privacy 

Microsoft is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy and your rights. Our contract with them contains a data processing agreement which includes the use of Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure appropriate protection of personal information of our customers.

 2. Databricks, Inc. 

Databricks is a leader in cloud-based data solutions, offering a powerful platform that integrates the best features of both data warehouses and data lakes into a unified data lakehouse architecture. This innovative approach will allow Flexera to further develop our methods for handling both structured and unstructured data at scale, enabling more sophisticated analysis and faster insights. With Databricks, we will be able to process large datasets in real time, identify patterns, and develop new features that bring more value to your business. 

 2.1 About Databricks 

Databricks is at the forefront of data engineering and analytics. Their lakehouse platform is used by some of the world’s most prominent organizations to unify their data for analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence. With Databricks, Flexera will build upon our flexible and scalable foundation for our data processes, which will allow us to deliver data-driven innovations faster and with greater precision. 

 2.2 Databricks’ commitment to privacy 

Databricks adheres to strict data privacy standards and compliance with privacy laws. All data processed through their platform is encrypted, both in transit and at rest, and they follow best practices for data security and privacy.  Furthermore, Databricks only processes the data that is essential for analytics and does so under rigorous confidentiality agreements.  3. Pendo.IO, Inc. 

Pendo is a leading provider of analytics solutions that help organizations understand and optimize user experiences within software platforms. Through their platform, Flexera will collect analytics about how our customers interact with our products and services. This data will help us identify the features that provide the most value to you and areas where we can focus on enhancements or improvements.  

 3.1 About Pendo.IO, Inc.  

Pendo specializes in product analytics and customer engagement solutions for SaaS platforms. They provide insights that allow software vendors to improve user experiences, drive better product decisions, and deliver meaningful features. Pendo's tools are trusted by many industry leaders to create data-driven strategies that directly respond to customer needs. 

 3.2 Pendo’s commitment to Privacy 

Pendo is committed to complying with all applicable data protection regulations and employs strict security measures to ensure that all data collected is handled responsibly.  4. Flexera’s engagement with Sub-processors 

Flexera take our privacy obligations to our users and customers seriously.  We have undertaken appropriate due-diligence of all Sub-processors prior to engaging and are satisfied that they will abide by the following requirements (in addition to any applicable legal requirements): 

• Only process personal information in accordance with Flexera’s or your instructions, 

• Ensure that all persons who may access the personal information are bound by obligations of confidentiality, 

• Will conduct regular training in relation to data protection and information security, 

• Implement and maintain appropriate technical and organization measures, 

• Promptly notify Flexera of data breaches, 

• Cooperate with Flexera in dealing with any requests from data subjects or supervisory authorities
