Install shield 2020 and 2019 command line issues

Hi team, 

I have install shield 2020 version and iam trying to make changes to an install shield 2019 version present in git pipeline. Will there be any kind of compatibility issues while executing the install scripts. If so what do you suggest me to go about. Is downgrading the version the only option. 

If i have the licensed version of install shield 2020, is it possible to downgrade the version?

Thank you for your post.

Only InstallShield 2019 can be used to create, modify, build, etc. InstallShield 2019 projects. So you would either need to use InstallShield 2019 with the InstallShield 2019 projects or upgrade the InstallShield 2019 projects to InstallShield 2020 (by opening the projects in InstallShield 2020) then use InstallShield 2020.
