Install hangs on status message "Publishing product information"

I am using InstallShield 2018 to deploy a Delphi project. When I install on a Win10 Microsoft Surface Pro, the installation appears to hang, displaying the status message “Publishing product information”. I have waited over 20 minutes before aborting. I updated to InstallShield 2019 hoping that would solve the problem, to no avail. I have Googled this status message in reference to IS and have not found useful help. Am I not waiting long enough? Can someone please help? Thanks much. PS ... I install as Administrator, so I do not think it is a permissions issue. PSS ... I tried to install again, and waited over one hour, to no avail. Wait time is not the issue.

Hi @carroll ,

 

Hi "publishing product information" is a message that gets printed during the start of installation which might not be the cause i think.Can you please provide us log file to get more information with?

You can execute command-Setup.exe /v"/l*v c:\test.log"

to get log file .
