How to migrate InstallShield 2012 Spring Professional Edition from Windows XP to Virtual Machine

Hi:

We have InstallShield 2012 Spring Professional Edition running on an old Windows XP desktop.  We would like to migrate InstallShield onto a virtual machine.

Could someone please provide instructions on how this can be done?

Hi @johnle ,

In order to activate the license in any other machine, required to deactivate the license from the current machine. How to deactivate the product from the previous machine is described in the below link.

After the successful deactivation, the license can be activated in the target machine with the same serial number.
