How to: Impersonate a User

Notice - only select staff teams, such as support, have this feature enabled. 

 

NOTE – WHEN YOU IMPERSONATE A USER, YOU WILL POST OR LIKE AS THEM. BE SURE TO COMPLETELY SIGN OUT AND CLOSE YOUR WINDOW BEFORE PARTICIPATING.

  1. First, find the customer username or user ID. The easiest way to get this is to ask the customer to send you their profile link. The ID is the last number at the end. For instance, this user is id 8.
  2. Sign in to production
  3. Click on your avatar (upper right hand corner) to get the drop-down menu
  4. Select “switch user”
  5. Enter in the username or user ID and press SWITCH USER

Click on the avatar again and go to “my profile” to confirm you are in the new profile.  Close your browser when you are done helping the customer.
