Obtain your Windows 10 Evaluation copy
If you don?t have already your own Windows 10 Enterprise copy, please visit the Microsoft evaluation channel: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-10-enterprise
After a registration you?ll get your evaluation copy and can start with the deployment.
Create Windows 10 OS Release
- Download Windows10DeployPack.zip and extract the content in your Columbus share (E.g. D:\Columbus).
- Navigate to Windows 10 OS Release (E.g. D:\Columbus\OSDepot\Windows10.x64)
- Copy your Windows setup media content to ?.\OS\? (Do not overwrite or remove the file source.ini!).
- Navigate to ?.\Job? and select the appropriate language job (Depends from your Windows 10 Copy) like ?c_Language_GERMAN? to edit job.ini and change ?Usage=Optional? to ?Usage=Mandatory? -> this job will be selected by default for new configuration.

- Navigate into ?.\Sites\MySite\Config\MyConfig? folder of the newly created OS-Release:
- Edit unattend.xml for the entries for <Key>#####-#####-#####-#####-#####</Key> (Note: There are always TWO lines to edit. -> x86/x64!) with one of the followed values:

- Navigate into ?.\Sites\MySite\Config\MyConfig? folder of the new created OS-Release:
- Edit the section [My Columbus Environment] to define the Columbus user access to network resources. Be sure to encrypt the password with CryptIt.exe which can be found in %_ProgramFiles%\Columbus\Console\Tools.
- Navigate into ?.\Sites\MySite\Config\MyConfig? folder of the new created OS-Release:
- Edit the section [Domains]. Be sure to encrypt the password with PublicCrypt.exe which can be found in %_ProgramFiles%\Columbus\Console\Tools.
- Edit options.ini for the entries for [Defaults] (You can specify the values which will be displayed by default if nothing is selected by user):
Edit the ?Domain=? entry with your Alias-name from choices.iniValues for Keyboard Values for RegionJob France R_France.fr Germany R_German.ge Italy R_Italy.it Japanese R_Japan.jp South Africa (English) R_SAEng.en Switzerland (French) R_Swiss.fr Switzerland (German) R_Swiss.ge Switzerland (Italian) R_Swiss.it United Kingdom R_UK.en United States R_US.en
Edit the entries within the [Database] section to connect to Columbus communication server.
After your modification, schedule a refresh for OS Deployment agent in Columbus Management Console (CMC.exe) to offer new OS Release for your environment.
Then you can assign and configure the new OS-Release to your devices.
