Test email returns error

Has anyone experienced issues with using the Test Email function under Settings - Email? We are experiencing errors in both our development and production server even though emails are going out. The parameter 'addresses' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: addresses

Does the test email link have an email address in it? For example:

"Send test email to CharlesW@flexera.com"

I sometimes see issues where the logged in administrator does not have an email address defined, and as a result, the test link will not work. The error message you are seeing would seem to indicate that there was no email defined for the user.

Charles - that was it. My administrator login doesn't have an email defined so I gave my regular login administrator permissions and then impersonated the account and the test email was sent.

You may want to refer to Site Management > Settings > Email
