Summary
This article discusses an error when trying to upgrade an Application Catalog using AdminStudio 2018.
Symptoms
When trying to upgrade an application with AdminStudio 2018 an error like the following may be returned:
Upgrading to Target Application Catalog 'Database Name'
Upgrading existing schema of Target Application Catalog 'Database Name'
The target catalog, "Application Catalog", could not be found.
Upgrade of catalog ""Application Catalog"" Failed : The catalog targeted for upgrade could not be found
Cause
This was caused by an issue in the upgrade logic that prevented the upgrade from occurring on a database that had a name containing a space.
Steps To Reproduce
- Install AdminStudio 2018
- Launch AdminStudio 2018
- Point to an existing database
- Continue through the upgrade wizard
Resolution
This issue has been resolved in an updated installer that has been uploaded to the Product and License Center. To resolve this issue login to the
Product and License Center and download the AdminStudio 2018 installer again. Then uninstall the existing installation, and reinstall using the newly downloaded install.
