Hi, I've been trying out the test drive version for a couple weeks now.

Any tips for packaging up MS Office 97 Pro? I'm having a pretty hard time making a working MSI package to deploy via group policy from a Win2k server.

I have gotten a few small apps to work well such as Winzip 8.1 and Adobe Reader 6.0.1-6.0.2.

Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated!

I advice u to first try out some more apps, before doing the office.
Office is always a bit of a pain. U are using a transform right, don't go and repackage it.

What are your exact problems?

Windows Installer 1.0 SDK ( Codename Darwin ) wasn't released until 1999. Office 97 doesn't use an MSI install, so therefore there are no transform capabilities.

Frankly I wouldn't even bother repackaging Office 97 unless someone had a really, really good reason to still be using it and they were willing to have me spend alot of time on it.

Sorry.. Didn't know office 97 wasn't a MSI. But now that i look at the 97 part... mmm it was kind of foolish.:D
