Bryan, i am not sure what method you are using. I usually use os snapshot. Just like you i've seen instances where my repackaged apps would blue screen the machines. Now when i build my packages, i always reboot after the initial install, then run the "post install snapshot". Of course when i open the project in Developer i go in and clean up the settings that were captured during the reboot, garbage stuff like tcp/ip setting, devices detection at boot time...basically garbage. Now many of my blue screening problems are history.
