What is the Use of .prd Files Stored Under C:\Program Files\FlexNet Operations\release\flexnet-data\data\prd folder
Question
What is the use of .prd files and non prd files which are stored under the path C:\Program Files\FlexNet Operations\release\flexnet-data\data\prd
Answer
Flexnet Operations (FNO) generates temp PRD files and discards them at the end of license generation using the VCG (Only applicable for all operations done by certificate license generation )
For debugging purposes, if the system log level is set to DEBUG then FNO will store the PRD file and its associated command as two different files under the C:\Program Files\FlexNet Operations\release\flexnet-data\data\prd folder
The name of the PRD file will be <activationId>-<system timestamp>.prd
The name of the command file will be <activationId>-<system timestamp> ( without any extension )
If we open the file 9064-2c93-1f62-4987-8e2b-b9c6-cc6d-abf3-1642502881335 then we can find the command which was used for the license generation
Note: The Temp PRD files will be discarded immediately in the normal production log level like INFO or ERROR.
