Steps to enable auto-apply for Data Platform and User Console patches

You can enable automatic patch application for the Data Platform and User Console by changing a configuration setting in the application files. This allows patches to be applied automatically after the Technopedia catalog sync completes.

Instructions

Locate the Norm.Configuration.config file in the '...\BDNA\Data Platform\Conf' folder of the Data Platform installation directory.
Open the Norm.Configuration.config file and edit the following line:
```
<AUTO_UPDATE_SOFTWARE>OFF</AUTO_UPDATE_SOFTWARE>
```
Change OFF to ON.
Save the changes made to the file.
Restart the Data Platform service from Windows Services.
After the Technopedia catalog sync runs, any newly detected patch will be auto-applied once the sync completes.

Outcome

Once enabled, the Data Platform will automatically apply available patches after every successful Technopedia catalog synchronization.
