Old WMI Evidences are not cleared from the database and are reporting invalid applications
Summary
This article provides an updated WMIEvidence.xml for use with FlexNet Manager Suite 2015 R2 SP4 and FlexNet Manager Suite R2 SP5 when experiencing the issues described in FNMS-35892Symptoms
An updated WMIEvidence.xml is required for FlexNet Manager Suite 2015 R2 SP4 and FlexNet Manager Suite 2015 R2 SP5 for the issue described in issue FNMS-35892. The issue is as follows:Our WMIEvidence writer today doesn't delete the old WMI evidences from InstalledWMIEvidence table appropriately.
It only deletes the records when
1. compliance connection is deleted
2. the computer itself is deleted
Resolution
Please apply the attached WMIEvidence.xml to writers under the default location on the FlexNet Manager Suite batch server using the following instructions:1. Open C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Compliance\ImportProcedures\Inventory\Writer
2. Find existing WMIEvidence.xml and rename to WMIEvidence_SP4.xml (just incase, due to something un-expected you have option to revert back)
3. Paste the attached WMIEvidence.xml (with fix) to C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Compliance\ImportProcedures\Inventory\Writer
With the new xml file in place, perform a full reconcile to remove old WMI Evidences
