How Do I Determine Where My Commander Database is Located?
When you are using a PostgreSQL database, it is installed to the Commander application server, where it can be accessed using pgAdmin. If you installed using Microsoft SQL database, it is most likely on another server.
When you install Commander, you are provided a control panel utility in the Snow Software program group in your Start program group, which provides information on the location of the database. Follow the procedure below to determine where your database is installed.
- Login to the Commander application server and browse to the Snow Software program group in the Start menu.
- Select Control Panel.
- Switch to the DB Management tab
If you are using the default PostgreSQL database, the only control will be the port on which the database connection runs. If you are using a remote Microsoft SQL database, you can add or update the following information:
- DB Name
- FQDN or IP
- Instance Name
- Port
- Username
- Password
- Domain
