How are manufacturer changes in the Technopedia catalog handled at the Software Release level?

Records of previous manufacturers are not deleted to retain any changes that have occurred. They are kept to handle records that may have a new manufacturer due to a merger or acquisition. When lineage occurs, the former manufacturer's status will become “inactive.” To prevent confusion, filter the manufacturer to show or hide inactive manufacturers.
