Why the Rules Applied value does not update automatically in Organization Assignment
The Rules Applied value in Organization Assignment does not update automatically when devices are ingested, updated, or processed by backend operations.
This is expected behavior. It does not indicate that organization assignment rules were not applied.
When the Rules Applied value updates
Computers that are newly ingested or updated are still assigned to the correct organization node automatically.
The Rules Applied value reflects the last time a user manually selected Apply Rules. It is not refreshed automatically by scheduled processes or other backend activity.
If you edit an existing rule or create a new rule, the displayed value will remain unchanged until you manually apply the rules.
Update the Rules Applied value
To apply the latest rule changes and update the displayed value:
- Navigate to Organisation Assignment.
- Edit an existing rule or add a new rule as needed.
- Select Apply Rules.
The Rules Applied value updates after the rules are manually applied.
Outcome
The latest organization assignment rules are applied, and the Rules Applied value reflects the manual application time.
