Web Configurator fails to extract HardwareID when Windows language is Japanese

On a machine setup as Japanese for default language, generating a Snow License Manager License Key is impossible, as the system throws an error when launching the Web Configuration:

• Could not extract hardware identifier. Product activation will not be available
  
  

Note: This works in Snow License Manager version 8.

2. Open Web Configurator
3. Apply license

Note: The Hardware Identifier is blank

Workaround

1. Close the Web Configurator
2. Change the language setting to English
3. Apply the Snow License Manager license
4. Activate
5. Change back the language setting to Japanese
